Winter Olympics 2026: Milan-Cortina! Wow!

The 2026 Winter Olympics, in Milan-Cortina, Italy, Feb 6th to 22nd, should be amazing! Seriously. Top athletes, all gathered. It’s gonna be huge! I’m so excited! I heard they’re adding new events, too. That’s cool.

Milan-Cortina: A Winter Wonderland, kinda.

Cortina’s already hosted the games, back in ’56. Beautiful mountains! The hospitality? Supposedly amazing. Perfect spot, right? Though, I heard some grumbling about venue access. We’ll see.

The Schedule: Get Ready!

Opening Ceremony? February 6th, 2026. Mark your calendars! Closing Ceremony’s Feb 22nd. Paralympics follow, March 6th-15th. Busy times ahead! I’m already stressed just thinking about it.

New Events! So many!

Eight new events! Big Air Sprint! Mass Start! Mixed Doubles Curling! Women’s Monobob! Ski Big Air! More Mass Starts! It’s gonna be crazy! I’m trying to keep up!

Venues: State-of-the-Art (mostly)

Median_di Isola for speed skating. Pala Alpitour for hockey and figure skating. Cortina Nordic Center, Olympic Mediolanum Forum… San Lorenzo Olympic Implodenza… I still don’t get that last one.

A Global Gathering!

Ninety-one countries! Athletes from everywhere! It’s gonna be a huge party! I hope they have enough pizza.

Medals, Medals, Medals!

Gold, silver, bronze. The usual stuff. Fastest time wins, generally. Unless it’s a team event. Then it gets complicated.

Tickets go on sale in 2024. Get ready to buy! Access passes too, for everyone. Hopefully, they’re not too expensive.
