PGA National Resort: A Luxurious Golf Getaway, Kinda!
Okay, so I just got back from PGA National. Wow! Seriously impressive. Palm Beach Gardens, right? Beautiful place. But, uh, the brochure kinda oversells it. Six championship courses! Yeah, six. Each one, designed by some big-shot architect. Arnold Palmer’s courses? Challenging, I’ll give ’em that. One was really tough. My score? Let’s just say I need more practice. The Fazio course? Gorgeous, but killer greens. I swear, my ball rolled off the edge of the world. Weiskopf’s courses were…interesting. Different.
Accommodations? Nice rooms, comfy beds. Cottages were sweet, perfect for families. Suites? Luxury, yeah, but pricey. Vacation homes? Huge! Like, seriously big. Perfect for a big group, I guess. But I’m a solo traveler, so…
Amenities? They got it all. The Ridge is fancy. Shopping and dining. The spa was amazing! I almost fell asleep during my massage. The kids club seemed fun. I didn’t check it out, though. No kids with me. Fitness center? Modern, but I didn’t use it. Too busy golfing (and failing).
Food? The Butcher’s Club? Expensive, but the steak was worth it. Honeybelle was good, too. Sushi? Fresh, but I’m not a sushi expert. Birdie’s Diner? Casual, good for a quick bite.
Overall? PGA National is a top-notch resort. Expensive, yes. But worth it for a special occasion. Or if you’re a really good golfer. Unlike me. I’m sticking to mini-golf next time. Maybe.
