As a gamer, myself, there’s nothing quite like the thrill of discovering new games and updates, you know? It’s like Christmas morning, every time! That’s why I’m so excited to share the latest news and updates from the State of Play series – a bi-annual update from Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) that showcases the latest games, updates, and announcements for the PlayStation ecosystem. Honestly, I get so hyped!

So, what’s the deal with the upcoming games? Here’s what I’m looking forward to:
God of War: Ragnarök
The sequel to the awesome God of War (2018)! Releasing November 9, 2022, for PlayStation 5. This game is gonna be epic, I can feel it! I’m already pre-ordered it, haha.
Horizon Forbidden West
The sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn, coming February 18, 2022, for PlayStation 5. I’m so excited to explore more of that post-apocalyptic world! It’s gonna be amazing, I’m sure.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
A platformer from Insomniac Games, releasing June 11, 2021, for PlayStation 5. This one looks super fun and crazy! I love the Ratchet & Clank games.
Returnal
A third-person shooter from Housemarque, releasing February 19, 2021, for PlayStation 5. Heard its pretty challenging, but I’m up for it! I’m a bit nervous, though.
