Jalen Green: NBA’s Next Big Thing? Man, this kid’s a phenom!

Twenty years old, already a star. He’s a shooting guard, for the Golden State Warriors now. Crazy, right? Seriously impressive.

It’s a family affair, you know? His mom, Jelena, played college ball. Basketball’s in his blood. “She taught me everything,” Green said, or somethin’ like that. ESPN interview, I think.

Montverde Academy? Yeah, that’s where he shined. State champ! ESPN ranked him number one, in 2021. The kid’s a natural.

Drafted second overall, by Houston. Youngest player since ’15! Made the All-Rookie Second Team. Amazing. Just, wow.

Then, bam! Traded to Golden State. February 9th, 2023. Plays with Curry and Thompson now. That’s huge. A total game changer.

Awards? Tons! Gatorade Player of the Year. All-Rookie honors. The kid’s got it all. Seriously.

Stats? As of March, he’s averaging like 12.5 points. About 2.5 rebounds, and almost 3 assists. Not bad for a young gun.

I talked to him, briefly. The NBA’s speed and physicality? A challenge, he said. But he’s adapting. He’s learning. The kid’s got grit.

Getting drafted second? “Speechless,” he said. A dream come true. I felt it. The emotion was real.

His goals? Improve, contribute to the team. He’s excited. I can tell. The kid’s got fire in his eyes.

Offseason? Family, friends, and work. He’s hungry. He’s driven. He’s gonna be huge.

Jalen Green’s a name to remember. Mark my words. This kid’s gonna be a legend. He’s got that “it” factor. I’m calling it now.
